It is less than a month until I am a married woman. I think I have everything under control, but I am constantly worried that I might forget something. Anders isn’t worried at all.
My allergies are very bad right now, I’m supposed to have a cortisone injection, but I’m trying to wait as long as I can. It’s better to suffer a bit now, than to sneeze all over my wedding dress.
Anyway, on monday we had a scary experience. At about six in the morning I heard a lot of noise in the building, right outside our door. It sounded like screaming, running and fighting. Then I heard someone ring the doorbell. I woke Anders up, and he tried to listen by the door to find out was happening, and I told him not to open the door. Then it calmed down, and Anders went back to sleep. I was wide awake, so I sat down with my laptop. A while later I heard more people outside the door, and a dog that wouldn’t stop barking.
At about 7.30 Anders got up and asked me to get the paper. I open up our front door and see blood and broken glass all over the hallway. Then a policeman comes up to me and asks me a lot of questions. It turns out that somebody has found our neighbour unconscious and bleeding outside, and two people have been arrested for stabbing him.
I don’t really feel safe here now, but I guess these things can happen anywhere. I just wish they didn’t happen right here. Just like everybody else.
