The road to hell is paved with good intentions

I have been thinking about this saying lately. Even though I don’t take it literally, since I don’t believe in hell, I think it’s true somehow. People don’t know what consequences their actions will have, and sometimes they lead straight to … well, hell for someone. But what I have learned is that it is at least easier to forgive someone when you know that they meant well. And then you can be mad at them for being stupid, instead of being mad at them for being mean.
Terrible proposal
My friend and maid of honor to be, Marit, has been visting since Wednesday, and she left this morning. Last night we all went to se the Kaizers Orchestra concert at Samfundet, and it was very good. But what I wanted to write about was that some guy proposed to his girlfriend on stage.
I’m so happy Anders didn’t propose that way, I just would have had to say no. The guy was very drunk, and was drinking beer right before the proposal. And he didn’t even ask if she wanted to marry him, he just asked if he could give her a ring. She looked totally embarrassed, but of course she had to accept, standing there on stage in front of 1000 drunk people cheering her on. Poor girl, my guess is that their relationship will last less than six more months.

Svada
On Wednesday we went to play poker again, and for the first time I won! I was really pleased with that, I found that having a small Jerry (from Tom & Jerry) figure with me really helped. See here for further details.
Today were going to a birthday party for Anne, so I have to go shopping for a gift. Tomorrow were going to Røros, and dad is 50 years next week, so I have to get a gift for him too. I have no idea what.
